Today I’m here to do the Musical Theatre Book Tag. This tag was created by somethinglikelydia, and I was tagged by Angel @ Angel Reads (because who else?)

1. Wicked – Favourite fictional friendship

I’m trying really hard in this tag to not just mention the same books I always do. So for this one, the gang from the first two Starfell books by Dominique Valente. This is a sweet, middle-grade fantasy a little like Nevermoor or Ottilie Colter but mixed with the format of Cressida Cowell’s books. The friendships in here are so sweet—they’re honestly downright adorable.

2. Sweeney Todd – Favourite villain

Why do I always instantly forget every book I’ve ever read when it comes to questions like this? I’m taking it back a couple of years now to say Nimona and Lord Blackheart from Nimona by Noelle Stevenson. I love them, even if they aren’t really your typical villains.

3. Phantom of the Opera – Favourite love triangle

Oh boy. When was the last time I ever read something with a love triangle? I think I’m going to have to go with the ever cliche answer of Will/Tessa/Jem from the Infernal Devices.

4. The Lion King – Favourite sidekick

I was trying to avoid this but all of my favourite sidekicks are from the Narroway trilogy by Rhiannon Williams. Firstly, Ottilie is an incredible main character on her own, but her friends really make the book the absolute joy that it is.

5. Grease – Least favourite ending

The one that instantly comes to mind is The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. I just feel like I spent so much time on that book and that was all the ending was? Like, what???

6. Matilda: The Musical – Favourite adaptation of a book

I’m not going to overthink this one too much, so I’m just going with all of the Austen adaptations. My particular favourites are; the TV movie version of Northanger Abbey, Emma Thompson’s Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice…the 2005 movie. Yeah, I went there.

7. Les Miserables – Favourite death in a book

I truly have no idea what this question means. Like, what does ‘favourite death’ mean? The one that broke me the most, or are other readers out here enjoying character’s deaths? I just don’t understand this enough to give an answer.
