The other day I did a post for Top Ten Tuesday in which I talked about the books I’d reread this year, which got me thinking about the ones I still wanted to get to. So here we are today with five of the books that I really want to make time to reread before the end of the year.
Red, White and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
I haven’t read this since it came out in 2019—I’d always planned to but just never made time. With the movie coming out on August 11th, I’d really like to reread it before watching it. I probably won’t have time to watch it for at least a week or two after it’s out so at least it gives me a little extra time to pick this up.
White Hot Kiss (The Dark Elements #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I think I bought this one in 2019 or 2020 with the plan of rereading it to see if I enjoyed it this time around. I’d read it originally in 2017 but never continued the series, I’d planned to do that if I enjoyed it again. But it got lost in my shelves and I forgot about it until about a week ago, so I figure it’s time to check this out again.
These Violent Delights (These Violent Delights #1) by Chloe Gong
I absolutely loved this book in 2020, so much so that I got one of my best friends obsessed with the series…and then I never read book two. I’m trying to focus on continuing/finishing series for the second half of the year, since this is only a duology, it feels like a good one to try and mark off.
Son of Neptune (Heroes of Olympus #2) by Rick Riordan
I’ve been saying for years that I would reread this series and I finally reread book one, only to not continue. I really want to read Riordan’s other series (Magnus Chase & Trials of Apollo) but I want to finish this one off first. Hopefully I can at least get through this one and book three before the end of the year, but ideally all of them.
None Shall Sleep (None Shall Sleep #1) by Ellie Marney
None Shall Sleep is my favourite book by Ellie Marney who is one of my all-time favourite authors so I always knew I’d reread this. When the sequel was announced, obviously I knew I’d reread it then. Some Shall Break, book #2, came out in June but I’ve been on a book buying ban so I haven’t picked it up yet. I know I want to read these back to back, but it’ll probably be August or September before I let myself buy anything and get around to these.
