In August, I made myself a little monthly TBR for the first time in a while and I really enjoyed doing that. Even though I didn’t read all of those, it was nice to refer back to it and see what I ended up actually being in the mood for. I decided I’d do one in September too.
There are a couple of caveats with this one. Firstly, it’s up early because all of the other posts I had planned this month are taking longer than expected and I need some more time with them. This one, on the other hand, is quick to throw together.
It’s also just four books since my next seasonal TBR will be going up for Top Ten Tuesday on the 19th. Ideally, I’d like to have at least started all of these before then. We’ll see if that happens. With that all said, let’s get into it.
The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon

Almost all of the books I’ve put on this TBR are things I need to read for posts. I don’t really know when the post I need to read The Ex Talk for will be ready to go out, but I’m trying to get it done mid to late September. Of course, I actually have to read this one first. I bought this one last year but I know if I don’t make time for it, I’ll never actually pick it up. I’ve never tried Rachel Lynn Solomon before so here’s hoping I enjoy this.
Little Fire (Warriors of the Five Realms #1) by Hollee Mands
I read the prequel novella for this in August, so I definitely want to get to this one in September. I’ve got quite a bit of contemporary romance on my TBR for the next month or so for different posts, so I think since this is a fantasy romance it might be a good little break from the other things I’ll be reading.
The Thursday Murder Club (Thursday Murder Club #1) by Richard Osman

I just shared this one in my haul the other day and as soon as I talked about it there, I really wanted to pick it up. Again, I think it’ll be a nice break from everything I have been reading and all the things I still need to read. I have a few more things to try and finish this month, but this’ll be one of my first reads for September I think.
A Thousand Miles by Bridget Morrissey
Let’s finish this off with another contemporary romance. This is one that I was originally super, super excited for. I preordered it but then, of course, by the time it got here I was busy reading other things and didn’t get around to it. That was last year so I think it’s about time that I picked it up.
So those are my little reading places for the first few weeks of September. As I mentioned, my next seasonal TBR will be up in September as well so I’ll have even more reading plans to talk to you about then!
