More Spookopoly Rolls!

Today is my birthday so I thought I’d celebrate by doing some more rolls for Spookopoly! I did six rolls originally (which you can see here) and I’ve now read three of them, as well as being halfway through The Mysteries of Udolpho. I thought I’d do three more rolls and see if they’d help me take a few more things off my TBR.

Community Shelf

Rolling from where I left off last time, which was the ‘purple’ square, I landed on a community shelf. This is where you get to choose randomly from your own set of prompts and the one that came up for me was ‘Highest Rated’. Udolpho was my lowest rated so I like that I get to do both. Most of these were sequels I hadn’t read the previous book for until I reached Shards of Venus by Tjalara Draper. I can’t remember the premise of this one so I guess I’ll just discover it as I go.

Pumpkin Spice

I was nervous about this one until. I realised it’s just to read a spicy book. My shelves are like 75% spicy reads at this point so this was the easiest prompt. I decided to go with A Soul to Keep by Opal Reyne because it’s a monster romance so it’s spicy, but also because it’s the last book I have to read for a post.

Community Shelf

Then I landed on another community shelf card. This prompt was a random number generator, so I popped in the number of books on my TBR and I got 161. 161 happens to be Winter Sun by Hollee Mands. I honestly couldn’t believe how perfect that was because this is actually one that was already on my TBR for Spring. This is the sequel to Little Fire which was my favourite book of last month so I’m pretty excited.

Purple

But I got two sets of doubles so I had to add an extra roll. I kind of love that I’ve ended on exactly the same square I started on, especially since this gave me the chance to slip Gargantis by Thomas Taylor on here. This is the sequel to Malamander which was one of my original rolls.

So that I don’t just keep avoiding books so I can do more rolls, I’m going to wait until I’ve only got two books left on the TBR before I roll again. I’m hoping that’ll let me do one more set of rolls before the end of the month, but we’ll see how I go!
