With it being more than halfway through the year now, I’ve started to think about the books I’d really like to take off my TBR before the year is over. So today, I had a quick look through my shelves and picked out five books that I’d really like to read this year.
The Weight of Zero by Karen Fortunati
This is one of the oldest books on my TBR right now. I purchased this back in 2020, and I’ve still not made time to read it. I very rarely read YA these days but there are a few still on my shelves, like this one, that I do really want to read. I try not to let books sit on my TBR for 5+ years so hopefully I can pick this one up before the end of the year.
A Soul to Keep (Duskwalker Brides #1) by Opal Reyne
I bought this one at BABE in 2023 (as well as the next two books in the series), and it’s been waiting on my shelf for the perfect time to read it ever since. I held off from ordering the rest of the series at BABE this year, but my plan is to pick them up at RARE, which is in October. Before then, I’d really like to read at least this first one if not the other two as well.
Branded by Fire (Psy-Changeling #6) by Nalini Singh
It’s been a while since I read anything from the Psy-Changeling series. For a while there, I was reading them consistently every few months, but it’s been over a year now. I always pick this series up when I see the books secondhand anywhere, so I have five or six others on my shelves to read. I’ve just got to get back in the habit of picking them up.
Silver in the Bone (Silver in the Bone #1) by Alexandra Bracken
Alexandra Bracken has been a long-time favourite YA author for me, so I purchased this one immediately when it came out in 2023. Of course, it’s sat unread on my shelves ever since. I know there’s also a sequel out, which is even more of a reason to try and read this one sooner rather than later.
Divine Rivals (Letters of Enchantment #1) by Rebecca Ross
Last but not least, I said at the very start of the year that this would be one of the books I’d read this year, and obviously, I still haven’t done that. I’ve had really good things about this one, and I’m thinking it might end up being the first one I read from this list.
Have you read any of these? What books do you want to read before the year is over?
I hope you get to these! And I hope you enjoy them!
