Whelp, as you can guess from the fact it’s already the middle of November—October was a month. I really have nothing to say here, we’re just going to jump right in.
Reading

For reasons we’ll talk about when we get down to the life stuff portion, I did not do much reading this month as you can see. I started plenty of books towards the end of the month, but I just didn’t have time to finish them. Hopefully that means I’ll finish all of those in November and make up for the terrible reading month this month.
TV, Movies and Music
I watched a lot of TV this month. I started Private Practice—I love Addison but I’m not completely sold on this show yet, but I’m only six episodes in. I also continued with Body of Proof, which I’ve really been enjoying. This is my crime show of the moment I guess—I’m halfway through season 2 and there are only three seasons so I’m trying to finish this before starting anything new. I’ve also been rewatching Gilmore Girls, but more on that later.
Music-wise, I’ve got to talk about Life of a Showgirl because I’ve been a Swiftie since the first album came out. There’s been a lot of mixed reviews, but I definitely come down on the positive side. Is it my favourite album of hers? No, but I think it’s fun. There are some skips for me, but I’ve still been playing my favourites on repeat.
Life Stuff
October is referred to as Hell Month at my work because it is one of the most operation-heavy months and it’s chaotic. I didn’t think it would be that bad, but wow…I was wrong. It was full-on and it just didn’t leave much room for anything else.
That being said, before all of this started I did get to go to RARE Melbourne at the very start of the month. I had a fantastic time meeting new authors and getting to see my favourites again. Naturally, the best part of the whole weekend was just getting to talk shit with Angel—there’s nothing like an entire weekend with your bestie to make you feel whole again.
I also sat an exam, got a new tattoo and caught up with a new friend. Oh, and I turned 30—that’s kind of a big deal!
Plans for November
- Survive (seriously, that’s it)
