November Wrap Up: Another Average Month

It’s such a cliche but I really don’t know where November went. It simultaneously feels like October was months ago but also just yesterday. All in all, November was an alright month though so let’s talk about it.

Reading

As per usual I’ve got a weird little group of books here—I’ve got an art book, a contemporary romance, a surrealist classic and a reverse harem, time travel romance. All in a regular month’s reading for me I guess. Drown the Sea was my favourite as it was a reread, and I also posted a review of Songbird already.

TV, Movies and Music

I finished watching Body of Proof about halfway through the month which was the show I’d been hyperfixated on for the last little while. Oh my god, season three was literally one of the worst seasons of any show I’ve witnessed. They got rid of half the good characters and tried to replace them with a romantic storyline I did not care about. I would happily rewatch the first two seasons again, but season three is dead to me.

After that disappointment, I didn’t really watch too much other than continuing with Private Practice. I’m looking forward to starting some new (to me) shows now that I’ve finished Body of Proof.

Life Stuff

It was a pretty normal month for me in November. Work has been getting busier and busier by the day as we head closer to Christmas. I’ve been using my days off to rest and dedicate my time to creative hobbies which has been really nice.

The most exciting thing that happened was that I got see Mary Beard give a lecture and then I got to meet her afterwards. That was definitely a highlight for the whole year, not just this month.

Plans for December

I work in retail so December is about to be the worst time of the year for me. This month is all about taking care of myself and getting a few last minute things done before the end of the year.

My major goals for the month are:

  • Finish my current knitting WIP (I’m about 80-85% through)
  • Finish the first draft of the chapter I’m currently writing
  • Book in that eye test I’ve been avoiding

There’s another month done and dusted. How was your November. What did you get up to?
