I really enjoy doing these little romance TBR updates, so I hope some of you enjoy them too. Today, I’m sharing all my updates for mid way through 2020!
Wallflowers by Lisa Kleypas
I’m happy to say that I actually managed to finish a series! I read the final two books in this series in April and loved them. I do still have the prequel and the little Christmas story to read, but I’m still counting this as done.
Royal Brotherhood series by Sabrina Jeffries
I ordered this series back in April, and finally had the first two arrive in May. I read them straight away and absolutely loved them. I’m still waiting on book three to arrive, but I’m so excited for it. I’ll be picking it up as soon as it gets here.
Sins for All Seasons by Lorraine Heath
This is the most different romance series I’m reading right now, in the sense that it’s Victorian rather than Regency. I don’t enjoy it as much, but the first two books in this series have been alright so far. I have book three on my shelf, so I’ll be picking that up in the next few weeks.
Lords of the Armory by Anna Harrington
The good thing about this series is that only book one is out so far, so I’m technically up to date with it. I did really enjoy this. It was a bit darker and more serious than I was expecting, but I thought it was pulled off nicely.
Love by Numbers by Sarah MacLean
I’m only at the very beginning of this series, having only read book one, but I’m waiting for the others to come in at the moment. I absolutely loved the first book though, so interested to see where the next books will go.
Fairy Tales by Eloisa James
I started 2020 off with the first book in this series, and I finally got around to the second book, When Beauty Tamed the Beast, last month. I wasn’t a fan of book one, but I really enjoyed the second one. I don’t know that I’ll read the rest of the series, but I do have another book of hers to give a go.
Scandal and Scoundrel by Sarah MacLean
I’m so happy to finally have this series done. Okay, so I only read the first two earlier this year but my library had to order a copy of the third one. Then, of course, COVID happened and delayed the delivery by three months. But it finally came in last month. I don’t love this series—the first one is amazing, and then the other two were just okay for me. Either way, it’s always nice to finish a series!
