I haven’t done any currently reading posts on here before, but I just wanted to sort of kickback today so here we are.
Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo

I originally picked this one up this Monday for a read-a-long hosted over on Instagram, but I ended up deciding just to go at it at my own speed. I just didn’t have the time to knock this one in a week. I’m just over 70 pages in so far and I’m absolutely loving it, but it’s definitely one I’m enjoying taking my time with. It’s one of those books that is just perfect to savour, to dip in and out of and to just fully enjoy. Could this be a new favourite in the making? I think it might be!
Shit, Actually by Lindy West

I’ve been listening to this one as an audiobook lately. I’m usually terrible with audiobooks—I’ll usually make it to around the 25% mark and then I just get distracted and completely forget about it. Considering I’m at 51% of this one, I think I’m doing pretty good. In fact, I’m actually loving this. I haven’t seen quite a few of the movies West reviews, but it’s made me laugh more than a couple of times. I’m also going through this one kind of slowly as I do my chores around the house.
Superior by Angela Saini

Lots of slow reads at the moment, apparently. I’ve been reading this one for a little while now—I find that I can usually read a chapter but then I need a few days to think over what I’ve read. It’s a very intelligent book and sometimes I need I have to reread different passages a few times before it really clicks in. I don’t think that’s a bad thing necessarily as I do feel like I’m learning things as I go along, but I don’t expect to finish this one up for probably another two or so weeks. I think it’ll be worth it when I’m done.
And that’s it for today. I’ll see you all on Saturday when I’ll be wrapping up my reading for Winter!
Love this post – looking forward to hearing your thoughts once you finish these!
