Ten Super Exciting Romance Reads On My Shelves | Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is a love freebie ahead of Valentine’s Day. As you can tell, I’ve decided to share some of the exciting romance books on my TBR. So without further ado, let’s get into it.

The Duke Heist by Erica Ridley

I bought this one pretty much as soon as I heard of it through the Swoon Awards semi-finals. I’ve been reading a lot of the same historical romance authors for a while now so I figured it was time to give someone new a go. I love HR’s that follow families, which this one does, but the next book in the series is f/f which just makes me extremely excited. I love that we’re starting to get more sapphic historical romances—we definitely deserve more than we’ve got, but it’s still nice to see them appear more and more.

Bombshell by Sarah MacLean

Sarah MacLean is one of those historical romance authors that I’ve been reading consistently for a while now. I’ve had a bit of a mixed relationship with her books, but I’ve pretty consistently enjoyed her newer books. I’m so excited to see how I feel about this one.

Ever After Always by Chloe Liese

Chloe Liese is definitely my favourite contemporary romance author. This will be my fourth book of hers and I loved the previous three so I have high hopes. I love that books all include disability representation, and especially that I’ve been able to see myself in those representations.

Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh

I’ve been meaning to get to this one since I read book one in October last year, but if you’ve been here before you might know that I am beyond terrible at continuing with series. I really just need to bite the bullet and get to this one.

Lessons in French by Laura Kinsale

I’ve got a few Laura Kinsale books on my TBR and wishlist, but right now, this is the one highest up on my list. I have no idea what this one is even about beyond a childhood sweethearts being reunited thing. Where do the lessons in French come in? No idea.

Teach Me by Olivia Dade

Lately I’ve been on a real Olivia Dade kick. I’d never read anything of hers before and now I’m like “I must read everything this woman has ever written”. This is my next read on that journey and also one of the newest additions to my shelves.

Knot My Type by Evie Mitchell

Alongside that, Knot My Type is also a new addition to the shelves. I’ve been excited about this one since I heard about its release but it was only last week that I decided to actually buy myself a copy. Maybe this will be the next one I decide to pick up after Olivia Dade, we’ll see!

Catch and Cradle by Katia Rose

I thought I’d share some eBooks as well. I came across this one randomly on Goodreads a few weeks ago and then discovered it was available on Kindle Unlimited. This is also a sapphic romance as well as a sports romance so it sounds like it’s going to be fun.

The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics by Olivia Waite

Here’s another sapphic romance, because like I said, we just don’t have enough of them. I’ve wanted this one for literal months and I finally bought the eBook a while back. I haven’t been reading as many of my eBooks as I probably should be considering I have a whole bunch from KU on top of the ones I’ve bought, but I’m excited to get around to this one soon.

The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas

I was meant to read this months ago when my bestie, Angel, and I picked out some romance reads for each other but I haven’t read any of those yet so. Look, I will eventually get around to it, I’m just slow!

So those are some of the ones I’m excited about. Have you read any of these? If you’re a romance reader, do you have any waiting on your shelves that you’re excited about?

  1. I had Bombshell on my list today too 😂 I can’t wait to read it! Teach Me was my first book by Olivia Dade and I loved it—found it such a refreshing mature romance and of course, Chloe Liese forever! She’s one of my all-time faves and I hope you love the book!

  2. What a great choice for your freebie theme! There are some really cool titles on this list; I’ll have to add them to my TBR. Also, the cover for Erica Ridley’s The Duke Heist?? Is so beautiful??? Definitely feel like romance cover designers should start really utilizing the color yellow more often
