Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is authors I haven’t read yet but want to. For this I decided to stick with authors that I own books from but haven’t gotten around to, so let’s get into it.

H.G Parry

I was beyond excited for The Declaration of the Rights of Magician, so much so that I actually pre-ordered it back in 2020. Do you think that means I’ve read it? Obviously not because here it is on this list.

Angeline Boulley

I’ve heard so much hype about The Fire Keeper’s Daughter in the lead up to it being published that I bought it pretty quickly after it was released and then I kind of forgot about it for a bit. The way my bookshelf is set up means that this got hidden behind other things, but I think it’s about time I dug it out.

Robin Hobb

This is easily the one on this list that I am most intimidated by. I have a pretty bad track record of not liking really popular and well-beloved books, especially fantasies. I don’t like Brandon Sanderson or George R.R Martin and big names like that. But I’m hoping with Hobb being a female author, that I’ll have an easier time.

Elizabeth Lim

I’d been meaning to pick up Elizabeth Lim’s books for ages, so when one of my best friends sent me Six Crimson Cranes for my birthday last year I figured it was the perfect time. I didn’t pick it up, of course, and now it still sits waiting for me on my shelves.

Shana Galen

I figured I had to slip at least a few romance authors onto this list, starting with Shana Galen. I bought the first book in her The Survivors historical romance series this time last year and just haven’t gotten around to picking it up. Honestly, I don’t see myself getting around to it for at least a few months because I’m in the middle of so many romance series already.

Kali Anstine-Fajardo

Sabrina & Corina is one of those books that I was interested in for ages but it took me until this year to actually buy it. I think maybe it had something to do with the cover, but I was just always drawn to it. I don’t feel so bad about having not read this yet as I do have something special planned for it.

Danielle L. Jensen

Danielle L. Jensen has been on my radar for a really long time, and then last year I decided to buy The Bridge Kingdom. I honestly don’t know why I haven’t read this one yet, but it does fit perfectly into some reading plans I have for later in the year.

Lyssa Kay Adams

Why haven’t I read The Bromance Book Club yet? Covid. No seriously, because of the pandemic it took almost an entire year for me to get a copy of this from my best friend even though the sequel only took a few weeks to arrive. I’m hoping to pick this one very soon so it doesn’t sit on my shelf for years.

Malinda Lo

Last Night At The Telegraph Club was another preorder of mine and another I’ve been too nervous to read. It sounds fantastic so I’m hoping it lives up to my expectations and that I can get to it soon.

Cat Sebastian

Last but not least, I only recently bought my first Cat Sebastian but I did have an eBook sitting on my TBR for a really long time and I still haven’t gotten to it. Like I said, I need to finish off some romance series before starting any new ones but Cat Sebastian will definitely be high up on my list when I do.
