It’s time for another one of my KU updates today!
I last did one of these updates in May, and most of these aren’t any different, but I do have a video planned for later in the month that I need this post for so here we are today.
Right now, my KU is being primarily used as a way for me to test out some of the new-to-me authors going to these four book events I’ll be attending over the next year. Most of the attending authors are doing pre-orders so I’m trying to decide who I’d like to meet, get books signed from and etc.

Sin & Chocolate by K.F Breene
This is the newest one I’ve added to my KU. In fact, I literally downloaded it two days ago in preparation for this post. K.F Breene is one of the authors attending those events, but also one I’d have my eye on for a while.
The Best Thing by Mariana Zapata
This one is for a completely different project that’s probably still another 2-3 months away, if not more. I’m honestly kind of terrified about this—out of the two Zapata’s I’ve read so far, one absolutely blew me away and had me in tears and the other was terrible. So I guess we’ll see where this one falls.
Hope’s River by Margaret McHeyzer
Margaret McHeyzer is another one who’ll be attending some of those events. This is a small-town, contemporary romance so I’m very much looking forward to it.
Emerald by Jenna Lee
I don’t really know what this one is about, but I promised Angel I’d give this a read and let her know how I go with it. Jenna Lee is also due to be at some of the events I’ll be attending.
From May’s post
I don’t have a lot to say about any of these, so I’m just going to note when I downloaded them off KU, and a quick reason as to why I picked them—i.e are they for another post/video, for an event or etc.

The Valkyrie’s Viking by Tanya Nellestein
May 20th, 2022. Tanya Nellestein is due to be at two of the events I’ll be going to, but is also an author I’m just interested in trying.
Variant Lost by Kaydence Snow
May 20th, 2022. Kaydence Snow is due to be at three of the four book events I’ll be attending over the next year—BABE, RARE and Books In Sight so I really need to get to this one.
Asterion: The Court of the Underworld by Alessa Thorn
May 5th, 2022. I’m pretty sure this one came up as a recommendation when I borrowed one of these others and my thought process was probably ‘eh, why not?’
To Love A Scandalous Duke by Liana De la Rosa
May 4th, 2022. This one’s a historical romance, which I’ve been a bit burnt out on lately, but Liana De la Rosa is a MexiRican author and I believe her books all feature characters of colour, which isn’t something you see very often in HR.

Rise of Hades Boxset by Mila Young
April 28th, 2022. Mila Young is due to be at BABE, RARE and Books In Sight but she’s also an author I was interested in picking up before I had tickets to all of those.
The Sting of Victory by S.D Simper
January 11th, 2022. I picked this one out originally solely because it’s a sapphic romance, but now it’s also a part of my Read My Kindle picks for this round.
Catch and Cradle by Katia Rose
January 11th, 2022. This is the exact same as The Sting of Victory in that it’s a sapphic romance and part of my Read My Kindle picks, but this is a contemporary sports romance.
Blade & Rose by Miranda Honfleur
December 20th, 2021. Miranda Honfleur is also due to be at BABE.
Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon
December 14th, 2021. I originally had a plan with this one, but now I think I’m just going to read it for fun and if I get a post out of it, that’s fine too.

The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas
December 2nd, 2021. This is a book Angel picked out for me to ready literally months and months ago, so I really do need to get around to it.
Blood Arrow by Lela Grayce and Eryn Brooks
November 23rd, 2021. I believe both of the authors were originally meant to attend BABE, but now it’s just Lela Grayce. Eitheer way, it’s one I want to give a go.
A Touch of Brimstone by McKenzie Hunter
October 25th, 2021. McKenzie Hunter is due to be at BABE as well.
Gild by Raven Kennedy
October 18th, 2021. This one has been on my radar for a really long time, but it’s just one for fun.
A Court of Honey and Ash by Shannon Mayer and Kelly St Clare
October 18th, 2021. This was mostly just because I love Kelly St Clare, but I’ve just realised Shannon Mayer will be at BABE
Dragon’s Gift by Jada Storm and Jasmine Walt
August 31st, 2021. This is just to try Jasmine Walt as there’s another book of hers I’d really like, but I already had this one waiting for me so I’ll give this one a shot first.
And there we are. Have you read any of these? Are any on your TBR?
