Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is series I’d like to start/catch up/finish. I knew if I talked about series I wanted to start I’d be here forever, so I’ve just narrowed these down to the ones I need to continue/finish.

Wicked Villains by Katee Robert
I’m so close to finishing this series—I only have the last two books to read, but I was feeling a little burnt out on them. I’ve honestly not loved this series. There’s been a few that I enjoyed, but mostly I’m just reading them because they’re Katee Robert and I do love her. I’d really like to finish these last two before the end of this year.
Psy-Changeling by Nalini Singh
This is part of a pretty big ongoing series and I’m only up to book five so I don’t anticipate catching up with it, but I would like finish the first ‘season’ of this series sometime next year. According to Goodreads, that’s the first 15 books in the series so it’s not too bad really. I’ve been really enjoying the ones I’ve read, so I’m excited to continue.
Shadow Skye by Joseph Elliott
This one is just a trilogy, so it should be relatively easy to get through as well. I reread book one earlier this year and I just need to make some time to get around to the other two. These are middle-grade/borderline YA historical fantasies and they’re pretty easy to get through, so maybe I’ll try and make some time during November.
Wilderwood by Hannah Whitten
This one is so bad. This is a duology. I pre-ordered the second book. I still haven’t read it. Why am I like this?
An Heir Comes To Rise by C.C Penaranda
I read the first book of this series back in July and I just haven’t continued it. I’m not sure about the rest of the series, but book two is definitely on Kindle Unlimited right now so I think I’ll try and borrow that once I’ve read some of things I’ve already got out on KU.

Plated Prisioner by Raven Kennedy
I started book two in this series, Glint, a few weeks ago but put it down after 80 or so pages because I wasn’t really feeling it. I do really want to come back to it because I was really interested in the direction this book was going. I don’t own the other books in the series, so I’d probably only read this one this year but I could continue the series next year.
Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon
I’ve read the first three books in this series so far and I really enjoyed them. This series is just a lot of fun and they’re always super quick reads for me which is nice when I’m feeling a little slumpy. There’s 19 books in this series so I know I won’t finish it by the end of the year, but I do have book four, Barbarian Mine, on my Kindle already so it’d be nice to at least get through that one.
Malamander by Thomas Taylor
I’ve been saying that I need to reread Malamander since 2019 and I still haven’t gotten around to it. The fifth and final book in this series is due out next year, so I’ll probably hold off until closer to that release date and read them all then.
Hidden Species by Louisa Masters
I just started this series in October so it’s not too bad considering one of the others. I already have book two, One Bite With A Vampire, on my Kindle so I just need to find the time to pick it up.
Cynster by Stephanie Laurens
This is another long series with 15 books in this first series and then a number of spin-off/continuations and what not. I’m halfway through book five, but I do own almost all the others as physical books so I’d really like to get through another one or two before the end of the year.
That’s it for my list today. Have you read any of these? What series are you hoping to continue?
These are all new books/authors to me! It’s tough to have multiple series going and try to keep up with all of them – especially when there are so many cool new ones!

There is a part of me that wants to read on with Psy-Changeling and then there is a part of me that says eh. I have so many long running series that I need to focus on, I don’t think I can take on another. And I’ve only read book 1 from it so far. But so entertaining.
I hope you will manage to finish season 1 at least. They are quick reads.

They are quite large series! Harry Potter is the largest series of books I have read, but I have bought a number of Agatha Christie’s that I need to get round to reading!
Have a great week!

Not reading a series in the right order is my weakness. I’ll come across a series several books in and pledge to start from the beginning but never do.

I need to finish that Ruby Dixon series as well. I hope we both get to do it soon.

Great post!! It’s always fun to recap series that you need to finish (if not a bit depressing haha). I really enjoyed The sea witch series so hope you get around to finishing it! Here’s my ttt 🙂 https://hundredsandthousandsofbooks.blog/2022/11/08/series-id-like-to-start-finish-catch-up-on/

I feel so similarly about the Wicked Villains series! I’ve read all but one or two also, and I like them okay but find them a little repetitive/meh at times. I need to read the sequel for Wilderwood, too! I’ve been wanting to check out the Malamander series, it looks so fun! I had no idea there were five books in the series. I hope you get around to all of these!

Wicked Villains sounds intriguing – may be another I need to add to my 20 million series I already have on my TBR.

I definitely had a couple of duologies on my list where I had yet to read the second book, so you are not the only one!
