Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is indie/self-published books. I was so excited to see this as a topic because about 40-50% of my reading these days is indie or self-pub. I decided to share some of the ones on my TBR that I’m super excited to get to, so let’s jump in.

Hell in a Handbasket (Sin Demons #2) by Mila Young and Harper A. Brooks
I wanted to start off with a few sequels/authors I’d read before because they are the ones I’m most excited about. I had a really fun time reading the first book in this series, Playing with Hellfire, earlier this year and I’ve just been waiting to get my physical copy at the end of this month.
The Dreams of Broken Kings (Fae Guardians #3) by Lana Pecherczyk
This is actually my next read after I finish up one of the things I’m reading right now. I just reread book two over the weekend in preparation for continuing this series—it’s one of my favourites, and I can’t wait to see where it will go from here.
Games with the Orc (Monster Smash Agency #1) by Kathryn Moon
Kathryn Moon is an author I tried for the first time a few weeks ago and have become kind of obsessed with her books ever since. I just ordered myself a copy of this one so it’ll probably end up being the one from her I read next. I haven’t read a monster romance in a while so I’m excited for this.
Blood Moon by Jillian Graves
Speaking of monster romance, this is a vampire/witch romance that promises a lot of smut, and I’m here for that. This is waiting patiently on my Kindle when I have time to get around to it.
The Point of No Return by Devyn Sinclair
I’ve pre-ordered this one from a romance event later this month, and I’m SO excited to have it in my hands. This is basically Phantom of the Opera but with reverse harem gargoyles, and I can’t wait to get to it.

Trial of the Sun Queen (Artefacts of Ouranos #1) by Nisha J. Tuli
I saw this one pop up on Instagram and it sounded really fun. It’s pitched as The Bachelor meets The Hunger Games, and that sounds like a wild ride. I’ve just got this on KU so hopefully I get the chance to try it soon.
Blade and Rose (Blade and Rose #1) by Miranda Honfleur
I just started this last night but it’s over 500 pages so I’m only about 7% of the way through. I think I’m going to be reading it for the next week or so but I have really enjoyed what I’ve read so far.
Anastasia by Sophie Lark
I started seeing this one about a week before it was published and immediately added it to my TBR. The animated Anastasia movie is one of my favourites of all time and I’ve read many Anastasia retellings because of it, but I’m always excited to find more. I have no ide when I’ll have time to read this but I’m excited anyway.
Song of the Fae (The Wildsong Series #1) by Tricia O’Malley
The one just came up in my recommended list on KU and I figured why not. I’ve recently been getting more into the whole fae fantasy thing—it took me a really long time to figure out what kind of fae stories worked for me, so this one could go either way.
The Serpent and the Wings of Night (Crowns of Nyaxia #1) by Carissa Broadbent
I’ve seen a bit of hype around one of Carissa Broadbent’s other books lately—Daughter of No Worlds, but this was the one that just seemed a little more up my street so I thought I’d give it a shot.
And that’s it for today. Haave you read any of these? What’s on your indie TBR?
There are some good books on that list

KU is the worst for our TBRs, but I still love it! It’s definitely a mouthful of a title, you wouldn’t want to try and say it too many times too fast.
