My Libro.fm Audiobooks | May and June

It’s time for another wrap of my Libro.fm ACL picks for May and June. I’m still trying to keep myself under control, so I only have three to show to you this time around. Without further ado, we’ll just get into them.

Night Vision by Mariana Alessandri

From what I can tell, this is a philosophical exploration of things like sadness, grief, anger and so on. It’s honestly not the sort of thing I usually gravitate towards, but as someone with anxiety and depression, sometimes I just need something like this to help break me out of that cycle. I have to be in a particular headspace to find something like this helpful, but now I’ll have it there when I ant it.

Chasing the Panther by Carolyn Pfeiffer

Recently I’ve been doing some film classes and I’ve been absolutely loving them, so when I saw this among the selections for June I had to pick it up. Apparently, Pfeiffer was a pioneering film producer and one of Hollywood’s first female executives, which sounds really interesting. I believe this is mostly about her early life, but hopefully there’s some interesting film-related things in here too.

Mountains Made of Glass by Scarlett St Clair

I’ve been really enjoying Scarlett St Clair’s Adrian x Isolde series at the moment, so I jumped on this one immediately. This is a fairytale retelling—I honestly couldn’t tell you which fairytale. But it’s also quite short and, of course, smutty so I think I’ll probably end up enjoying it. It’ll probably end up being one of the next audiobooks I pick up, so hopefully I’ll have some thoughts to share soon.

And that it’s for May and June. I’ve definitely been in the audiobook mood lately, so I’m hoping you’ll see some of these showing up again before too long!
