December TBR

Well, it’s almost the end of 2023 and with that comes the mad dash to try and finish all those things I said I would earlier in the year. And oh boy, there’s a lot of them.

I’m keeping this December TBR kind of short since my next seasonal TBR for Top Ten Tuesday will be up mid-month again. There’s four here, most of which I’ve started, so here’s hoping I’ll get them finished before starting with that TBR too.

Ninth House (Alex Stern #1) by Leigh Bardugo

I knew going into this year that I needed to reread Ninth House so that I could pick up Hell Bent, and then, of course, I didn’t do that. I finally ‘picked it up’ in October, read the first chapter and then got waylaid with other things. I don’t feel too bad because I’m just going to borrow Hell Bent from my library so it’s not like I’m meeting that languish on my shelves, but I would read like to reread this one before the end of the year.

None Shall Sleep (None Shall Sleep #1) by Ellie Marney

This is another reread for me ahead of reading the second book. I read 170 pages of this in November and then put it down for Junior Eurovisionathon. This is YA but it’s a pretty intense serial killer thriller so I was honestly thankful to have a little break from it. Depending on whether I finish up one of my current reads, I might even get to this one before the end of November.

A Thousand Miles by Bridget Morrissey

Again, I started this one just before Junior Eurovisionathon and ran out of time to finish it. I was really enjoying as well, but I was only about 60 or so pages in. It’s a contemporary romance so it’ll be a quick read once I get back around to it.

Scrivens (The Librarian’s Coven #3) by Kathryn Moon

I read some thick books in November so I thought putting aside something nice and short would be a good idea for the start of December. I’m really wanting to finish this series off by about halfway through the month and there’s one more book after this one so it would work out perfectly if I can read this early in the month.

And that’s it. As I said, keeping it short and sweet ahead of my Summer TBR. What are your reading plans for December? What have you still got to mark off?
