If you follow along with the blog semi-regularly, you might’ve noticed I’ve not been posting much lately. I took a break in January while we were moving and then I took a sort of unofficial break this month too. After moving, I started studying on campus for the first time since 2018. It’s been exhausting, good but exhausting.
Then I sort of unexpectedly got a job. I’d applied in January, didn’t hear anything and figured it had been filled but I did get it and I’ve been really enjoying it so far. I started the same week that classes started up and so I just haven’t had the time to do much. I’ve been slowly writing posts here and there between other things but I usually only have 5 or 10 minutes before I’ve got to go back to something else.
It’s probably unsurprising that between all of this, I haven’t had much time to read either. The time I would usually spend reading, I’ve been spending knitting instead. It’s nice and mindless at the end of the day in comparison to trying to focus on a book.
What does that mean for the blog?
Well rather than stressing myself out trying to get things done, instead I’m going to aim for one post a week. Anything more than that is a bonus, but I’m not going to beat myself up for not getting things done. I’ve got lots of ideas so I’ll just work through them as I can.
But with knitting so much, it does mean that I’ve been able to film another video—this time talking about my Autumn knitting plans/intentions! You can have a watch of it down below, or you can find my channel here.
Here’s hoping I’ll be able to do some reading this week and be able to work on some of those half-finished posts. Until then…
