As promised in my last post, today I’m going through what I have out from KU at the moment. There’s a few, so we’re going to jump right into it.
The Year We Fell Down (The Ivy Years #1) by Sarina Bowen
This is my oldest book from this list and it’s a reread. This was one of the first hockey romances I ever read and it’s a huge part of why I fell in love with the romance genre. I’ve been saying I’d reread this for years, but now I’m actually committing to doing that.
Beartown (Beartown #1) by Fredrik Backman // Body Check by Elle Kennedy
I’ve grouped these two together even though they’re very different books (albeit, both about hockey) because they are the only two on this list I’m giving myself a pass on reading. I have Beartown saved for Eurovisionathon even though I didn’t read it this year, and I’m also saving Body Check until I’ve finished the Elle Kennedy series I’m currently halfway through.
The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo
I used to consider myself a Bardugo fan, but I honestly couldn’t tell you the last time I even thought about one of her books. I’m just not reaching for the types of stories she tells anymore, but I want to give this one a go before returning it in case I do enjoy it.

I’ll be honest, I don’t really know how many of these I’ll end up reading. I downloaded all of these on a whim without knowing much about them and I don’t know if I’ll enjoy any of them. I guess there’s only one way to find out!
Vows and Ruins (The Legends of Thezmarr #2) by Helen Scheuerer
And now we return to a few books I’m really excited for. First up, I’ve already started reading Vows and Ruins but I’m only 8% in. I got to meet Helen Scheuerer a few months ago and I now have quite a few of her books waiting on my shelves, but I need to finish this series first.
The Play (Briar U #3) by Elle Kennedy
Speaking of series I need to finish, this is the Elle Kennedy series I’m working on. I read the last two back to back so I’m hoping the same might happen with these last two as well.
Indigo Ridge, Juniper Hill and Garnet Flats (The Edens 1-3) by Devney Perry
Last but not least, I have the first three books in The Edens series. Book one, Indigo Ridge, will be reread for me but I never continued the series so I’m very much looking forward to that now.
