My Spring Reset: Halfway Check-In

In early September, I made this post about my Spring Reset in which I talked about different goals I had that were ‘spring cleaning’ in essence. Now that it’s the last day of October, I thought it was a good time to check in and let you know how I’ve been doing with my goals so far.

Things I Worked On

Clear a full TBR shelf to make space for my RARE Melbourne haul

I technically did this though it just involved shuffling books along rather than actually taking many off my shelves. The issue is that not all of my RARE purchases fit onto the one shelf, so my next focus is to try and do that.

Make ‘some’ progress on all my 9 of my knitting WIPs

This is definitely still something I’m working on, but I did finish one of my WIPs which I didn’t think would happen. I’ve also worked on another one that I think I might be able to finish before the end of the year. Naturally, I’ve started a bunch of other WIPs to make things more difficult for myself.

Updated Goals

I think it’s important to always take stock of goals like this that go over a few months and update them as things go on. Life almost never goes the way we think it will, so I don’t think there’s a point in keeping goals that don’t work for you anymore. With that said, here’s what I’ve changed…

Books

  • Donate half my current “unhauled” shelf
  • Get my RARE Melbourne haul to fit on the one shelf (that means reading them!!)

Knitting

  • Update my WIP list
  • Create my yarn stash spreadsheet for next year

Kindle

  • Finish the books I’ve started

Blog Posts & Videos

  • Set up/draft all the blog posts I can for the rest of 2025 (+ write any that I can)
  • Plan out my videos for the next three months

House/Personal

  • Organise my yarn (this goes hand in hand with creating my spreadsheet for next year)
  • Pack away my Winter clothes and pull out my Summer ones
  • Get all my Christmas gifts shipped

I know lots of you are Northern Hemisphere folks, but I’d love to hear what your end of year reset might look like!
