It’s finally time to wrap up March 2026. This one’s a little later because I ended up with an awful cold/flu thing out of nowhere and it’s taken me a little to finish this post off. But we’re here now, and let’s get to it.
Reading

You read that title right—this was the best reading month I’ve had in a while. I managed to finish three books! First was Surrealism and the Occult by Nadia Choucha which I read as part of my research, and then I read The Play by Elle Kennedy and A Little Too Late by Sarina Bowen (who I got to meet this month). The Play was my favourite of three, and also possibly my favourite of the Briar U series so far (this is book three) but I’m hoping to read book four in April.
It was really nice to get back into the swing of reading and I really hope I can continue with this momentum into April and further into the year.
TV, Movies and Music
TV is really the thing getting me through my day to day at the moment.
I watched a lot of The Mentalist. Last month I was on season 4 and now I’m partway through season 7 with only the last few episodes of the entire show to go.
I’ve been trying a few different things so I can decide what will be my next watch after I’m done with The Mentalist. I rewatched the first three seasons of Grey’s Anatomy which are my favourite seasons, before everyone I cared about either left or died. I like rewatching Grey’s in chunks since it’s honestly kind of depressing, so I’ve kind of parked it there. I started Person of Interest too and I’m halfway through season one.
I spent a couple of days with my bestie, Angel, which I’ll talk more about in a second but, of course, we watched some movies together. As we do every single time we’re together, we watched The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. Then I decided I really wanted to watch The Fellowship of the Ring because we’d been talking about Aragorn, and so we did that too.
Life Stuff
In all of my last few wrap-ups I’ve been talking about the fact that I’ve been having a really tough time and unfortunately, that did continue into March. But I got to spend the last few days of the month with my bestie, Angel, which is the best type of therapy, honestly. As I said we watched The Mummy and got to meet Sarina Bowen, but we also went to an exhibition at the NGV, spent some time crafting and went to a few romance bookshops. There’s nothing like a few days with your best friend to get you feeling better.
Plans for April
Since we’re already quite a few days into April I have actually finished some of these goals already, but here’s what I originally set out to do:
- Finish The Dare (Briar U #4) by Elle Kennedy so I can finish the series
- Quit my job
- Tidy up my books (they’re everywhere right now)
That was my March. What did you get up to last month?
