My Most Read Authors | June 2026

It’s been a while since I talked about my most read authors. In fact, the last time I did I think was this TTT post back in July of 2020. I wanted to see how my list had changed and I thought I’d share it with you.

I want to be transparent and say that I have excluded authors from these list for one of two reasons—either I’ve outgrown them and haven’t read them in years, or they’ve made statements in recent years that contradict my beliefs. Either way, they don’t reflect the reader (or person) I am today and I didn’t want to talk about them.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about my most read authors as of June 2026.

Agatha Christie | 37 books

Can you guess who my favourite author is? I’ve been reading Christie since 2010/2011 so I’ve had some time to make my way through quite a few of her books. I’m honestly not even sure if this count is right as I’ve started to go back and read some before I keep moving, but it doesn’t really matter as she’s definitely my most read author by far.

Cassandra Clare | 15 books

If you told me a few years ago that Cassandra Clare would still be on my most read author list I probably wouldn’t have believed you. After the City of Heavenly Fire, I told myself I’d never read another of her books because I thought it was so bad. Then I read Lady Midnight and I’ve been firmly back on the Shadowhunter train ever since.

Rick Riordan | 14 books

Riordan is definitely a comfort author for me. I don’t usually look for humour in my books but if I need something then I know who to pick up. I also just deeply, deeply love Percy—I named my cat after him, he’s one of my favourite characters of all-time (along with Annabeth, of course).

William Shakespeare | 12 books

Shakespeare is really my only ‘why yes I do hold a fancy literary studies degree’ author on this list, which is kind of ironic because I read one Shakespeare play during all my time at university. I studied a few in high school, but I decided to read most of these on my own. I have a dream of one day reading everything, but until then I think I’ve made a good dent.

Sabrina Jeffries | 11 books

I’ve really fallen off the historical romance in the last few years, but I’d still consider Jeffries to be one of my favourite authors. I don’t know if I’ll come back to historical romance in the way that I was obsessed with it years ago, but I still want to continue with Jeffries. I own her next two series in full, I just need to make time to read them.

Elle Kennedy | 11 books

Elle Kennedy was part of the reason I wanted to redo this list—I was reading The Graham Effect and was thinking about how many of her books I’d read. I honestly thought the number would be higher, but I have a lot of her books to catch up on. Since it’s another whole year before we get season 2 of Off-Campus, I think it’s the perfect time to catch up.

Are any of these authors on your list? Who takes your number one spot?

Also check back later this month when I talk about the authors who I think will make my most read list soon…
