A couple months back I asked on Twitter if anyone was interested in doing a readalong of Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier before the new Netflix adaptation dropped. We were finally given the release date of October 21st, so I’m here to announce the readalong!

The most important thing is that I’ll be running it for a whole month, so from the 21st of September to the 21st of October.

I want to keep this pretty low-stress, so you can really read at our own pace. I’ve got a couple suggestions here of how you might choose to break down your reading, but it’s still about what suits you.

Throughout the month I’ll be doing weekly posts on here. I’ll be sharing updates on my own reading on Mondays, but they’ll also be fun posts where I’ll talk about du Maurier herself and the history of Rebecca, recommend some other books and of course, talk a bit about the Hitchcock adaptation. It should be a really couple of posts, so whether you’re joining in with the read or not, I hope you’ll drop by the posts!

For now I’ll just be talking about Rebecca with people on Twitter and in the comments, but depending on how many people join in I might start up a group DM or something akin to that.
