Starting To Think About My 2020 Faves

Well, this hellscape of a year is slowly coming to its end, and despite everything that has happened (and not happened) in 2020, I’ve read some pretty great books so far. And with December almost upon us, that means I have to start putting together my top books of the year list. I’ve been thinking over the past few weeks and today I’m going to share some of my thoughts with you.

The Definites

To start off, I have three books here that are 100% going to make the list. These ones have stuck with me throughout the whole year, and they are; Dominicana by Angie Cruz, There Was Still Love by Favel Parrett and The Last True Poets of the Sea by Julia Drake. I read these all early in the year and have not stopped thinking about them ever since.

Newer Possiblities

These two are ones I’ve read very recently that might make the list. Those being; Allegedly by Tiffany D. Jackson and Below Deck by Sophie Hardcastle. I read these both in October, as you can see in my Favourites & Disappointments post. These will quite possibly make the list, but there’s still a chance something might knock them off.

Books I Still Need To Read

Naturally, I’ve still got an endless list of books I need to read before the end of the year. Ones I think might make this list include; Loveless by Alice Oseman, Hollowpox by Jessica Townsend and Before The Ever After by Jacqueline Woodson.

What books are shaping up to be your favourites?
