Let Me Hear A Rhyme by Tiffany D. Jackson

I finally got around to rereading Monday’s Not Coming last month, and so it’s finally time for me to pick this one up. Monday’s Not Coming has absolutely nothing to do with this one apart from the fact they’re both written by Jackson, but I decided I had to reread it before moving onto this. This’ll be probably one of the last ones on this list I read because you always need a good month or two to recover from a Jackson before moving onto her next.

A Rogue’s Proposal by Stephanie Laurens

This is book four in the Cynster series which I’ve been slowly making my way through. I’ve enjoyed them all so far so I’m excited to be moving onto this one and then hopefully onto book five shortly afterwards. This was part of my little romance TBR from a few weeks back as well, so two birds, one stone.

Slippery Creatures by K.J Charles

I did do a few randomly generated books for this list as a way of getting myself to pick up the books I’ve been avoiding and this was the first one that came up. I bought this one only a few weeks ago, but I might as well knock it off my TBR as soon as I can right?

Cinders and Sparrows by Stefan Bachmann

This was the next one I picked out and it actually works so perfectly. It’ll count towards my reading for both Middle-Grade March and Let Us Read Middle Grade, and it’s also a book I’ve bought this year so I can make sure I’m reading the newer stuff to my shelves as well as the older stuff.

Disability Visibility edited by Alice Wong

This is my last random pick and I’m so glad this one came up. For one, it’s always nice to add in a little non-fiction to my TBR. And secondly, I actually preordered this one last year and then just didn’t get around to it. I’m sure I’ll talk about this more at length once I’ve read it.

Fathoms: The World In A Whale by Rebecca Giggs

You might have seen this one recently in a post I did talk about the Stella Prize longlist for 2021. I co-host an unofficial book club of the Prize called the Stella Project and this is one of the 2021 books I’ll be running the discussion on. I always like to add books onto here that I know I’ll get through so I don’t feel so bad if I don’t get to others.

Mathilda by Mary Shelley

One of my biggest goals for 2021 is to read (or unhaul) all my pre-2019 books and Mathilda is one of them. Frankenstein is one of my all-time favourite books and I’m obsessed with Mary Shelley, her mother Mary Wollstonecraft, and their lives and the people around them. With all that said, it’s probably time I get to this right?

The Parasites by Daphne du Maurier

Daphne du Maurier is another author I love and am completely fascinated by. This is also another one that is on that pre-2019 list, so another two birds, one stone with this one here. I did start this one a few months back, and then restarted it about two weeks ago but I got distracted by other things both times so I’m determined to finish it this time.

Eyes Turned Skyward by Rebecca Yarros

Just like in my Summer TBR, I decided to include an eBook and audiobook as I tend to forget about actually reading them. For this round, I’m going with Eyes Turned Skyward as my eBook. This is the second book in this series and I loved the first, so it’s time to get to this.

Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

I usually don’t like to repeat books from these TBRs twice in a row. Usually, I’d give myself a break from something if I didn’t finish it, but I don’t see the point of picking another audiobook for this round. It took me three months to get 15% of the way through this so I might as well keep going and maybe I’ll get to 30% by the next time I have to do this.

And that’s it! I seem to usually get through about six of these books per TBR, so here’s hoping I can bump that number up even if it’s only by one!
