My Next Romance Reads: October Picks

This is honestly one of my favourite posts to do, where I put together a little list of the romance books I’m hoping to read over the next few months and we talk about them. So without further ado, we’re going to jump into this list…

The Old List

Devil Takes A Bride / One Night of Sin / His Wicked Kiss by Gaelen Foley

We’re starting off on a good note because I did manage to finish off these three books, and therefore finishing the series! I’ve got a post about why you should read it here, if you’re interested.

Flowers From the Storm by Laura Kinsale

I’ve made a decent dent into this one—I’m 170 pages in which isn’t too bad really. This is quite an intense read as it deals with historical medical treatments and that can be a bit horrific.

The Bareknuckle Bastards by Sarah MacLean

I made it through 2 out of 3 books in this series. ut just haven’t finished off the last one yet. I haven’t really been in a historical romance reading mood lately though.

The Hellions of Halstead Hall by Sabrina Jeffries

I did manage to start this series just the other day. So I’ve read the first book, but none of the others so far. I know I have the next series from Sabrina Jeffries already on its way to me, so I do really need to get to this one.

Eyes Turned Skyward by Rebecca Yarros

This is the only one I didn’t pick up at all. Honestly, I’m kinda terrified of this one. I’ve heard it’s very emotional.

Rhapsodic by Laura Thalassa

I did read this one! I read back in September and I really enjoyed it.

The New List

Of course, I’d like to start by finishing the Sarah MacLean and Sabrina Jeffries’ but after that, these are a few of the ones I’d like to try and get to.

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley

Since I’ve already given myself the job of finishing those two, as well as all the others I’ll randomly pick up. I thought I’d just include one of my physical books and then a few eBooks. So, I bought this one at the start of this year so I’d like to read it before 2022 rolls around.

Bombshell by Sarah MacLean

Starting off with the eBooks is Bombshell. I do technically have a copy of this because I preordered it, but where is it? Literally, no one knows. This is part of a post that’ll be going up at some point, so I do need to get it read.

Celine by Kathleen Bittner Roth

I only just found out about this one about two weeks ago, but it sounded kind of interesting. This is set in the US during the 1850s which is not a period that I really read or know anything about. I’m trying to read a few more US-based historical romances, so why not start here.

Dark Prince by Christine Feehan

I’ve been really interested in paranormal romance lately. I’ve been reading some Nalini Singh and a few others, so why not give some Christine Feehan a go too. I’m not really sure what to expect with this one, so wish me luck.

So that’s the list going forward. I’m hoping to read all of these by the end of the year so that I can start 2022 with a fresh list!
