I’m not usually a TBR kind of person—I mean, I love making them but I’m terrible at following trough. But lately I’ve been joining in with a few different readalongs and whatnot, so this seemed like a good way to keep everything organised for myself. So let’s get right into it.
The Library of the Unwritten by A.J Hackwith

Annemieke (@ A Dance With Books) has talked about this series over on her blog a few times now and I’ve always told myself that I’d pick it up on her recommendation. Last week I finally went to the library and did that and I’m excited to be getting to it this month. I don’t even really remember what this series is about now—just that it has to do with a library, and Annemieke tells me that I’ll love the characters named Hero. I’m totally ready to sink my teeth into this and see how I feel about it. My library has the second book too (though not the third) so if I do enjoy this, I could pick that one up afterwards too so here’s hoping I love this!
A Natural History of Dragons by Marie Brennan

I’ve decided to join in with the Memoirs of Lady Trent readalong that’s going on over the next few months. There are a couple of hosts, but I originally saw this announcement video from Kristin @ Kristin Kraves Books. This is one of these series that I’ve been hearing about for years but have never read and I’m excited to give it a go. I also got this one out from the library and it looks like they do have the rest of the books in the series if I end up liking this one and I decide to continue with the series and the readalong. I’m pretty excited to start this one so it might be one of my first reads this month.
Lost in the Neverwoods by Aiden Thomas

Of course, there’s the pick for the Last to Read Book Club—which I co-host with two of my besties, Mel and Lana. We, unfortunately, had to change our February read due to lack of accessibility, but our new pick is Lost in the Neverwoods by Aiden Thomas. I’ve put it on hold at my library but it seems like they might have lost their copy. I do have an audiobook of it from Libro.fm, but I’m really bad at listening to audiobooks so I’m hoping my library will still come through with a physical copy for me. If you’re interested in hearing more about the book club, I’ll link you to my announcement video for our next three months of reads.
The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys

I bought this one last month in preparation for Sepetys’ next book which is coming out this month, only for it to end up being picked as February’s read for the Eurovisionathon book club. This is hosted by my extremely lovely friend, Helen, and this month is Lithuania—while this book is set in 1950s Spain, Sepetys is the daughter of Lithuanian refugees. Her books, Between Shades of Grey and Salt to the Sea, are among my favourite books of all time so I am excited to give this one a read. I’ve heard it’s not quite as good as her others but I’m just in the mood to read something of hers right before her new book is due to be released.
Books to Finish
I have a whole host of books that I’ve started at one point or another and have just never finished so my plan throughout February is to go through them and see if there are any I can unhaul. I’ve also got a video going up in a few days with all the books so I can hopefully finish them all over in the next month or two.
So that’s it for today. What’s on your February TBR?
