Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is books on my Spring/Autumn TBR. Of course, we’re going into Spring here in the Southern Hemisphere and I’m here to show you what I’ve picked out for this season.

A Secret Love (Cynster #5) by Stephanie Laurens

I’ve not been keeping up with the historical romances I have on my shelves this year, so I’m going to make a conscious effort to get to a few before the end of the year. I bought most of the Cynster series back in 2020, and this is the next one I’m up to. I’ve been really enjoying these, but it’s such a big series that it feels a bit intimidating at times.

The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus #3) by Rick Riordan

The Lost Hero was on my TBR for Winter, and it’s one of the few I did manage to get through so I figured I’d add this one onto here. I haven’t read Son of Neptune (which is book two) yet, but I thought I’d push myself to get both done before the end of Spring. This series is a reread for me, but I’d really like to finish it before the end of the year.

The Chosen and the Beautiful by Nghi Vo

This was one of my most anticipated releases of last year, and then I just didn’t read it. It’s a reasonably short book, so I’m hoping it’ll be a quick read. I’ve really enjoyed Nghi Vo in the past, and I really want to get her newest released but I feel like I should probably read this one before I do that.

Twelve Caesars by Mary Beard

When I did my TTT post a few weeks back about non-fiction books on my shelves, I talked about this one and reinvigorated my interest in it. I had started this one before that post, but then I got distracted by other books and readathons, and I didn’t get around to finishing it, so now it’s time!

Five Little Pigs (Hercule Poirot #22) by Agatha Christie

I was considering switching this one out for something that would be a bit more of a push to read, but after not doing so well on my Winter TBR, I thought I should be nice to myself. I’d already been planning to read this one in the next few weeks, so I might as well pop it on here.

Usually in my seasonal TBRs, I’ll make the last two picks an eBook and audiobook choice but I’ve got such a huge list of eBooks I want to get to at the moment that I’ve decided to do the second half of entirely those. All of these are for a few different romance events that are coming up!

Kiss of Steel (London Steampunk #1) by Bec McMaster

I’ve been really excited to read some of Bec McMaster ever since I heard she was attending a few of these events. I have the third book in this series in physical form and this one is on KU so it seemed like a good one to start with.

Dead of Spring by Colette Rhodes

I randomly picked Colette Rhodes off the list of attending authors and I was so excited when I realised that this is a Hades/Persephone retelling. I love a good mythology retelling, and this one is also a standalone which is great considering all the new series I’ve been starting lately.

Blood Laws (Immortal Curse #1) Lexi C. Foss

I have no idea what this one is about beyond that it’s got vampires and angels and romance. Honestly, what more do you really need to know about a book? This is the first in what I think is an eight part series at the moment, so if I end up enjoying this one, I suppose I’ll have a few more to enjoy!

Forrest for the Trees (Green Valley Heroes #1) by Kilby Blades

Since the rest of these eBooks are all fantasy or paranormal of some kind, I thought I should probably throw in a contemporary romance as well. This is the first in this series that relates to the Smartypants Romance universe, which is basically a collection of books and series from different authors that relate to the universe created in Penny Reid’s books. I’ve read one Penny Reid before, but this is my first time trying one of these spin-off ones from a different author.

Reject Me (Immortal Vices and Virtues #1) by Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane

This is another paranormal romance, but each book is written by a different author. Lexi C. Foss actually writes book four which was the one I was originally interested in, but I’ve read some Kel Carpenter before and so this one seemed like a good place to start.
