New Release Romances I’m Looking Forward To

Every season, Goodreads will put out a list of romance books that have recently been released or are due to be released, and every time, I end up adding a whole chunk of them to my TBR. So I thought I’d put together a little list of the ones that caught my eye and share them all with you. So here we are today, and let’s get into it.

The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna

There’s been a real increase in contemporary light-hearted witchy romances lately, and I’m 100% here for it. I really enjoyed The Ex Hex a few months ago, so I’m really excited to find some others that I enjoy as well. This one sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun—it’s got a bit of a historical vibe with an orphan going to teach young girls in a remote and mysterious house, and I’m all for it.

In the Event of Love (Fern Falls #1) by Courtney Kae

The first few words of this blurb are: “fans of Casey McQuiston and Alexandria Bellefleur will adore this queer romcom”, and honestly, that’s all I need to know. I’ve been obsessed with Alexandria Bellefleur these past few months, so as soon as I saw that and the fact that this is sapphic, I knew I had to put this on my wishlist. I’m not a huge fan of holiday romance, but there’s been a few lately that I have enjoyed so I’m willing to give this a chance.

Aphrodite and the Duke by J.J McAvoy

This one has been on my radar for a few weeks now, and I’m actually already on the waiting list for this at the library, and it looks like I might be able to get it in the next few weeks, which is exciting. This is the only historical romance I have on this list because I’ve just not been reading it much lately. The reviews for this are making me a little worried, but I’m still excited to try it.

Luck and Last Resorts (Love, Lists and Fancy Ships #2) by Sarah Grunder Ruiz

I’d never heard of the series before now, but I was immediately drawn in by that cover. I don’t know that I’ve really read any romances that take place on a boat before, or at least not contemporary romance, so I’m kind of interested in giving this a shot. I’ll be keeping my eye out for book one for sure!

Small Town, Big Magic (Witchlore #1) by Hazel Beck

Like I said before, I’m just really into the whole contemporary witchy romance thing lately. I’m also really enjoying the whole small-town romance thing, so this is the best of both worlds, really. However, this one hasn’t been getting the best reviews lately, so it might be one a little further down my list.

A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone

This one sounds like a ridiculous amount of fun. It follows a plus-size adult film star who gets accidentally cast in a family Christmas movie. There’s also a bad-boy ex-pop-star as her love interest. Like, excuse me? I need that immediately. Apparently, this is just the year I get really into holiday romances.

And those are all the ones for today! Are any of these on your TBR?
