I figured it was about time to do a little update about what I have on my KU right now. I have 17 out right now and a couple of different things from my past few updates so it’s all very exciting.
A lot of these books are from RARE or BABE, two romance events I’m attending this year. RARE is in April so I’ve mostly done with my pre-reading for that, but BABE is in June and I’ve barely started that. But anyway, let’s get into it.

Sin & Chocolate (Demigods of San Francisco #1) by K.F Breene
Starting right off the bat with one for BABE. K.F Breene was one of the first authors that caught my eye when I first saw the attending authors list and I got this one off KU midway through 2022. These first four definitely fell to the wayside while I was doing all my preparations for RARE, so hopefully now I’ll be able to pick them up.
Accacia’s Trilogy by Bea Paige
As you can probably guess, this is a bind-up of the trilogy. I’ve actually read the whole first book, but I just haven’t come back to it. Bea Paige is due to be at BABE as well, but I decided I didn’t want to order this one, but I do intend to finish it.
The Devil You Know by Veronica Eden
Veronica Eden is also a BABE author, and one that I’m kind of unsure about. I saw something on Instagram about this one, and it caught my eye enough that I ended up downloading it. This isn’t my usual type of contemporary romance, so we’ll see how I go with it.
Icebreaker (UCMH #1) by Hannah Grace
The second I heard this was a romance between an ice hockey player and a figure skater, I had to download it. I’ve been desperate to read it for months, but I just couldn’t fit it in between all the stuff for RARE. With starting my reading for BABE now, I have no idea when I’ll have time but I think I’m going to aim for late March.
A Dead and Stormy Night (Nevermore Bookshop Mysteries #1) by Steffanie Holmes
Steffanie Holmes is at both events but I didn’t get to this before her preorder for RARE closed, so I’m instead going to aim for BABE. I’ve started a little of it and I’ve enjoyed it so far, but I’m not 100% sold on it yet.

The House Witch by Delemhach
These next few have absolutely nothing to do with anything. This one just popped up in my recommendations and it seemed kind of cute and cosy. I feel like as we slowly descend into Autumn here in Australia that will be the exact vibe I’m after in a couple of weeks time.
Court of Blood and Bindings (Fae Isles #1) by Lisette Marshall
Again, absolutely nothing to do with anything but the cover grabbed me so here we are. I really know nothing about this one so hopefully, it turns out to be something interesting.
Not So Kind Regards (Warts and Claws Inc. #1) by Clio Evans
Wren mentioned this one a week or two ago now—it’s a smutty monster romance and I am 100% here for it. I’m serious, I didn’t even read the synopsis of this one. I just heard monster smut and instantly downloaded it.
The Baker’s Guide To Risky Rituals (Sweet Pea #1) by Kathryn Moon
Back to BABE now. Kathryn Moon is an author I’ve been hearing a lot about—two of my friends picked out her books for me to read as part of a challenge I’m doing. This one is just a completely random pick of my own. I wanted something that was a little bit lighter and I’m already 50% through this one. Hoping to finish it tonight so I’ll be able to talk about it next week.
Academy of Assassins (Academy of Assassins #1) by Stacey Brutger / Twisted Fate by Shana Vernon / Bloody Kingdom (The Crimson Crown #1) by Kayleigh King
I really don’t have much to say about any of these three. They’re all for BABE, some I think I’ll really enjoy, others I’m less sure on.

Dark Horse (A Demon’s Guide to the Afterlife #1) by Kel Carpenter and Aurelia Jane
I think I’ve already decided on which Kel Carpenter books I want to order from BABE, but I wanted to give this series a try first in case I end up really enjoying it. Angel really loves it, so here’s hoping I do too.
Beautiful Things (Second Sons #1) by Emily Rath
Speaking of Angel, she found this one a week or two ago and sent me the link. It’s a reverse harem historical romance and I am so here for that. I’m hoping to be able to squeeze this one into March as well, but we’ll see how that goes.
A Lady’s Desire by Lily Maxton
This is the only one officially on my March TBR. I joined in with my friend Mel’s Roll of Reads readathon and one of the rolls I got was a ‘booktuber’s favourite’. So my friend Meredith recommended this one—it’s a short, sapphic, historical romance so it should be quick if nothing else.
Blood Moon by Jillian Graves
This is another one that just randomly popped up in my recommended books and I thought I’d give it a go. I’ve been wanting to read some Jillian Grves and this looked like a good spot to start—it’s a standalone, witch/vampire, enemies-to-lovers situation and that’s all I need.
A Kingdom of Stars and Shadows (Stars and Shadows #1) by Holly Renee
And finally, circling back around to BABE. Holly Renee just posted her preorder link and the covers of her books are so gorgeous that I immediately downloaded this one and I hope I end up really enjoying it.
And that’s everything right now. I’m cycling through these a lot at the moment, so I’ll probably share another update in April or so, and of course, anything I do read will end up in my five most recent reads posts. But until then…
