Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s prompt is our Spring/Autumn TBRs. We’re, of course, heading into Autumn here in the Southern Hemisphere and I’m ready for the weather to cool down and to spend some time getting cosy with the books and a cup of tea.

Chain of Iron (The Last Hours #2) by Cassandra Clare

This quarter I’m definitely putting a focus on continuing some of the series I’ve started and maybe even finishing a few of them off. I’m rereading Chain of Gold right now and I’ll probably be finished with that by the end of the week so that I can move onto this one. I’m hoping to finish this entire series in March.

The Harp of Kings (Warrior Bards #1) by Juliet Marillier

This is also one I’m rereading so I can try and finish the series. My plan at the moment is to pick this one up late March, early April at the latest, and then read the other two books in the series in April or May.

The Solace of Sharp Claws (Fae Guardians #2) by Lana Pecherczyk

Again, I’m rereading this one to continue the series but it’s also one I’m reading after RARE. RARE is a romance event I’m attending at the end of April which Pecherczyk will be at so I want to get back into the series because I have a lot of them waiting for me.

Broken Bonds (The Bonds That Tie #1) by J Bree

Are you starting to sense a theme here? J Bree is also going to be at RARE and I read the first three books last year, so I want to reread them so I can move onto the others once I have them. These are honestly some of the books from the event that I’m most excited to get, so I’m looking forward to jumping back into the world.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

Sally Thorne is also due to be at RARE and I’ve had this one on my shelves for a few months. My partner bought me a copy for my birthday last year and my plan is to read it before the event so I can decide whether I want it signed or not. I’ve seen very mixed reviews of this so I want to make sure I enjoy it before adding another author to my list of ones to meet.

Wanderlust (Sirantha Jax #2) by Ann Aguirre

Ann Aguirre was also meant to be at RARE but recently had to drop out because of her health. By that point, I’d already fallen in love with book one in this series, Grimspace, and had ordered the entire series. Even though I won’t get the chance to meet Aguirre now, I still want to get to this series before it sits on my shelves for too long.

All Our Yesterdays by Natalia Ginzburg

The other big event for this quarter is my favourite readathon, Eurovisionathon. This is hosted by one of my close friends, Helen, and it really is the highlight of my year. It runs from mid April to mid May and the goal is to read as many books set in the countries participating in Eurovision as possible. I’ve been keeping this one aside to read as my book for Italy and I’m excited.

None Shall Sleep (None Shall Sleep #1) by Ellie Marney

I’m also keeping this one aside for Eurovisionathon. It’s set in the US, but Marney is an Australian author so it’ll mark that one off. Marney is a long-time favourite author of mine, so this is a reread in preparation for the sequel being released in early June.

Death in Ecstasy (Roderick Alleyn #4) by Ngaio Marsh

Depending on when I get to this, it might end up counting towards the UK for me but otherwise, I’ve just been wanting to continue this series. I’d been holding off because Marsh’s books can be rather tricky to find, but I managed to find the next two or three in the series so it’s time to get back into it.

Women Artists: The Linda Nochlin Reader edited by Maura Reilly

And finally I thought I’d throw on a non-fiction just to give myself something a little different. This is a pretty huge compilation of essay on art history by Linda Nochlin and it’s one that’s been sitting on my shelves for a little now. I imagine this one will take me basically all of Autumn to read, but I’m okay with that as long as I make some good progress with it.
