Watching and Listening | March and April 2021

Welcome to the bumper edition of Watching & Listening! I wasn’t feeling well enough to get this post up for March so I just decided to combine these two into the one post so that I could still talk about all the amazing things I consumed in March anyway.

You might notice there aren’t any movies included in this list, but never fear, I have a special post coming up about those later in the month. As for podcasts, I just didn’t listen to any this month. I’m hoping to dedicate some more time to that in May. So without further ado, let’s get into the TV.

TV

I consumed quite a lot of TV these two months. Starting off, I finished up the last episode of WandaVision—I loved the show as a whole and I don’t know that I have much to say other than what’s already been said.

I watched most of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, though I ran out of time to get the last two episodes watched before the end of the month. I admittedly didn’t love this the way I did WandaVision, but maybe the finale will really blow me away?

Then we get into the marathoning. I watched three whole seasons of Silent Witness in the space of about 10 days. They’re short seasons, but nonetheless, it was a lot. I definitely needed a break after that and I haven’t gone back to it yet.

I rewatched the entire series of 10 Things I Hate About You—I love both the original movie and this series so it was nice to revisit this one. I also rewatched the entire first season of Veronica Mars over the space of about two days. VMars is one of my absolute favourite shows and I had so much fun going back to this one too. I’m trying to finish off a few other shows before I start season 2.

Season 2 of Love Alarm was finally released, so I watched all of those too. This season felt a little more lacklustre compared to the first, but it was still sweet.

Of course, I had to watch Shadow and Bone. I absolutely loved it. I thought the cast was brilliant and it was really beautifully done as a whole. If anything, I’m even more in love with Kaz now than I was in the books.

Finally, I rounded the month off by finish season 2 of Lucifer. This worked out kind of perfectly as I finished it this week just before heading off for a weekend away, so it gives me a little time before moving onto season three. You might have noticed that I like to take a little break since seasons most of the time otherwise I lose interest fast.

What’s On For May

Season 3 of Lucifer is definitely a big one, especially since it’s a long season. Obviously the last two episodes of Falcon and the Winter Soldier as well. Otherwise, I’ll just see where the month takes me.

That’s everything from me. What have you been watching or listening to lately?

  1. Lucifer is everything 👏🏻 The new season is coming soon and I’m very very excited! I finished just a few weeks ago Derry Girls on Netflix, loved every single episode and would totally recommend it to everyone [friendship goals, funny as hell, and one very nosy family]

  2. Veronica Mars is also one of my all-time favorite shows! Now I want to go rewatch it. I haven’t watched the 4th season…cos then it will be like the end of season 3 where it was really over…(sort of…). I hope Hulu decides to bring it back…even if it’s a while from now.
