Six Series I Want To Start

Lately I’ve been talking a little about series—namely ones I really need to finish, and the big series I’m making my way through, but today I thought it was time to talk about some of the series I want to start. So here we are with six of them!

Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams

You might know by now that I’m not really a contemporary romance fan. I am quite firmly in my little historical romance bubble with a few dips into paranormal romance, but I’ve heard amazing things about this series and I want to give it a go. It seems like a fun read and who doesn’t need that with the state of everything right now. I’m not entirely sure whether this series is finished or not yet, but Goodreads lists four books right now so I have some catching up to do.

The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan

I’m quite the way behind with Riordan these days. I made the decision at the end of last year that I would reread the Percy Jackson series (which I did), then move onto the other series by publication order which meant rereading some and reading others for the first time. I’ve read one off that list of books so far, so I wouldn’t say it’s going to plan but I’m hoping to finish off the Kane Chronicles series before December which means at this rate, I’m probably going to end up getting to this series in about 2023 or so.

The Prison Healer by Lynette Noni

This one is definitely more manageable than some of the others on the list. Right now, only this first book is out but the second will be published next month so it’s kind of the perfect time to jump on the bandwagon and see if I enjoy it or not. Lynette Noni has quite the hype around her books, especially here in Australia since she’s a local author. I haven’t read any of her books yet, but The Prison Healer kind of feels like it might be a good one for me. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so far so I’m excited to give it a chance.

Gunnie Rose by Charlaine Harris

This is an urban fantasy, paranormal, alternate history kind of thing and it sounds very intriguing to me. I’ve only ever read one Charlaine Harris before and that was for a class but like I said, this really interests me. So far there are three books, with a fourth apparently on its way next year. I’m really not sure whether this will be my thing or not but I figure what’s the harm in trying.

Kingdom of Runes by Audrey Grey

This’ll be the first one on my list that I’ll get it, solely because I have the first book out from Kindle Unlimited right now and I’ve read the first few chapters. I guess you could say I’m cheating a little on this one. I had originally planned to start it as part of Indie Accords but didn’t get around to it in time. It seems like they’re might be five books in the series, with that last one supposed to be released at the end of this month.

Feminine Pursuits by Olivia Waite

I’ve been desperately wanting to start this series ever since I heard about the first book early last year and I don’t know why I haven’t gotten around to it yet. This is basically historical lesbians, like I don’t know what else I need to say to sell this. There seems to be heaps of m/m romances around and it’s about time we got some sapphic ladies up in this joint. If you have any recommendations of others, please leave them in the comments below—I’m always on the lookout for them.

And those are the six series I wanted to talk about today. Have you read any of these? What series are you hoping to start?
