Big Series I’m Reading Right Now

Recently I talked about a couple of the series I was hoping to finish off and that got me thinking about some of the big series that I’m slowly making my way through. So today, here are five long series that I’m actively reading right now.

The Poirot series by Agatha Christie

I’m sure this doesn’t surprise any of you who’ve been around here before, but this is by far the series I’ve read the most books from. You might know that Agatha Christie is pretty much my all-time favourite author and that Poirot is one of my favourite characters so it makes sense that I’m this far along. I’m hoping to read book 25, Sad Cypress, this month, which would leave me only 17 books in this series. I’m honestly not really sure what I’ll do once I finish the series, other than read them all again?

In Death series by J.D Robb

This one is very much on the opposite side of the spectrum. I’ve only read the first book in this series, but I do own a couple others too. There are 52 books in the series so far, with another to be released this year still. Obviously, it’s going to take me a while to catch up but I’d love to make it through another book or two this year.

Discworld series by Terry Pratchett

I know I’ve been talking a lot about Discworld lately, so apologies if you’re a little sick of hearing the same thing repeated. To make a long story short, I’m about to start in on my sixth book, Wyrd Sisters, mid-way through this month. You can see my thoughts on the first five in this post here.

Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh

Now onto one that I haven’t been talking about. I started this series in August and absolutely loved the first book. I just finished book two a few days ago and now I’m excited to continue on with the series. I’m not really sure whether this series is finished or not—there is a 14th book coming out next month but I’m not sure beyond that. My goal for this year is to make it to book 7 so I would at least be halfway through what’s been published.

The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan

I started with Eye of the World last month and admittedly I haven’t finished it yet, but I’ve really been enjoying it so far. I’m about 500 pages through so I’ve still got a little while to go but at the moment, I definitely have plans to continue with the rest of the series. I’m hoping to finish this one off this month so I can move onto the next in October.

And I think that’s all the big series I’m working my way through right now. Have you read any of these? What big series are you making your way through? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
